Hulu is losing some of its most popular shows and TiVo finally introduced its next generation DVRs. What impact will these moves make? We talk to Dana Wollman and Samuel Axon to find out.

Tivo and Best Buy team up to develop DVR TVs

Tivo has made a deal with Best Buy to begin developing Insignia brand DVR-HDTVs that are preloaded with Tivo software. Tivo attempted a similar integration with Humax LCD TVs in 2005 but no products were released.

TiVo to sell data to advertisers

Ironically, the company most associated with avoiding TV advertisments will be selling customer data to TV advertisers and networks on which shows are most watched, and (naturally) which advertisments are fast forwarded.
