Nielsen: 34% jump in mobile web
Compared to July 2008, mobile web traffic has surged 34% according to Nielsen. Contributing to the mobile growth are teens– up 45% from last year– and seniors– up 67% compared to last year.
Senior citizens coming to the net in droves
A new study shows that worldwide seniors are "flocking" to the internet, picking up things like internet shopping, connecting with one another, and banking. The study suggests seniors are using the net no differently than the average person, though, unsurprisingly, they are staying away from niche sites like Twitter.
