We've long been waiting for the era of the tablet computer to take hold, and peering on the horizon are three interesting candidates to take tablets from speculation to spectacle. If the somewhat-ironic leaks about Michael Arrington's upcoming CrunchPad are to be believed, we'll end up with a $400 tablet that is sans keyboard, and is devoid of local storage. That package, says our panel of Joel Evans from Geek.com and Gary Krakow from BuyMeGetMe.com, essentially can't be a huge success. It's an uphill battle, Gary points out, since in the past tablets have been anything but runaway hits. Joel concurs, especially since the price is higher than expected.
