Users afraid Firefox 3 will reveal their dirty secrets

According to a survey conducted by the Mozilla Security team one of the main reasons users chose not to upgrade to Firefox 3 was due to fears the new location bar might reveal their secret bookmarks. The location bar uses previous searches and bookmarks to tailor answers and links to the user's preferences so if a user is not careful the bar might come up with some interesting answers.

It's funny that 10 years after Microsoft was busy monopolizing the browser space, we've seen a flurry of competition that makes even the most anti-competitive practices seem easy to overcome.
