Opera reports upsurge in mobile web usage

Mobile web usage increased significantly in September, according to Opera's recently released State of the Mobile Web report. Almost 36 million people used the Opera Mini web browser last month—an 11.5% increase compared to August 2009 and a significant 150% growth compared to last year. Nielsen: 34% jump in mobile web

Compared to July 2008, mobile web traffic has surged 34% according to Nielsen. Contributing to the mobile growth are teens– up 45% from last year– and seniors– up 67% compared to last year.
