London is the top Twitter city
Twitter's CEO and co-founder Evan Williams told the BBC in an interview that London is the top Twitter city. He also revealed that the UK was the second largest twitter using country behind only the US although he did not share any user numbers or future functionality. He also called the recent, "dehumanizing" criticism by archbishop Vincent Nichols, "silly."
London Transport Authority to slow speeders from space
The London Transport Authority looks to seize control of the throttle in an effort to curb speeding. By monitoring the speeds of vehicles installed with computers pre-loaded with roads and their respective speed limits, electronics will reduce the driver's speed and prevent the engine from accelerating. Testing of the Intelligent Speed Adaption system on specially equipped vehicles will start this summer, and studies estimate a reduction of 10% in the number of accidents.
