Bing Video consolidates online video

Microsoft put together a new unified location to find content from CBS, Hulu, YouTube and many more video sites at Bing. After checking it out, we think the Bing team may be on to something.

Microsoft gives Bing users free WiFi

JiWire and Microsoft announced an advertising campaign today giving users who search with Bing free WiFi access. This runs across WiFi hotspots, in airports and also in hotels.

Microsoft demos Bing Visual Search

Microsoft showed off a new method of searching through imagery on Bing yesterday. The Visual Search, using Silverlight technology, uses images in the same manner as Cooliris to find results, rather than focusing on words and links. The new service is intended to simplify finding people, products, and other visually differentiated items.

Microsoft ends Bing Cashback promotion early

Microsoft ended the back-to-school promotion on Bing Cashback early after hitting its cashback limit.  The promotion had Microsoft doubling the cashback from all advertised items until August 30 or when the money ran out, whichever came first.  Microsoft footed the bill for anything above the cashback percentage that the retailers offered.
