Microsoft has been desperately trying to snatch search traffic away from Google forever. If this will give them the advantage, they will do everything they can to get it to happen. Instead of out-thinking Google and staying one step ahead, they always chase the gimmick deals and don’t ever get anywhere. Maybe Bing will become more popular if they go ahead with this, but I for one love Google and hate bing, so I won’t be joining the masses. Also, what about net neutrality and the free and open Internet? This is a power play by a businessman who is behind the times and doesn’t understand the new world order. He is greedy and wants to be paid for everything. The newspapers and its business model are dying off, and he could be making money in the new economy, but he hasn’t seen the light. Starting riots among Internet users is not going to get him what he’s looking for. I don’t dis the business model he’s proposing, accept this is the wrong method to use.
