HTC Hero coming to US via Sprint?

Engadget is reporting on a rumor from the xda-developers forum that the HTC Hero might find its way to Sprint this October.  The Hero, which we've previously covered, is a non-Google branded Android device, which sports HTC's custom Sense UI as opposed to the stock Android interface, and is eagerly anticipated by smartphone aficionados.
