Google not creating its own hardware for Android

Last week  The Street reported Google was planning to creating first party hardware for their Android platform. According to Cnet, Vice President of Android Engineering Andy Rubin scoffed at the idea of competing with its own customers. Given Google's reputation for spreading themselves thin, it's welcoming to see their emphasis on supporting third party hardware companies by focusing on software.
