Nook e-book reader announced by Barnes and Noble for $259
Today, bookseller Barnes & Noble launched its Android-based e-book reader, the Nook. Shipping November 30th, the device follows in the footsteps of Amazon's Kindle with a $259 price point, 6-inch e-ink display, MP3 player, 2GB of storage, and 3.5mm headphone jack, but this reader is no Kindle copycat. The Nook uniquely features a 3.5-inch color touchscreen LCD below the e-ink screen, built-in WiFi (802.11b/g), microSD expansion slot, replaceable battery, 10 days of battery life, and AT&T 3G wireless connectivity.
