Google opens up “social” iGoogle widgets

Google plans on introducing a little bit of friendly interaction to its homepage, adding "Social gadgets for iGoogle" to the optional iGoogle site. Scrabble, chess, and friend-linked to-do lists will be just the start of this platform, which will open up to developers as part of the currently existing API for iGoogle gadgets.
