Microsoft Silverlight 3.0 Launches Early

Microsoft released version 3.0 of Silverlight a day early.  The new release has thousands of new APIs and hundreds of new features including GPU acceleration for viewing HD video and the ability for Silverlight applications to live outside of the browser.  Silverlight 3.0 also supports multi-touch and the H.264, AAC, and MPEG-4 codecs.
